Management Team: Karen West - Director of Business Development

Karen has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 16 years with both CRO and pharmaceutical company experience.

Karen started in the industry as a clinical research assistant at Faulding Pharmaceuticals. Exposure in the head office provided Karen with the opportunity to be exposed to numerous tasks and responsibilities not normally conducted by subsidiary offices.

In 1995, Karen moved to Quintiles Australia starting as a CRA, but was quickly promoted through to Clinical Operations Manager. Karen had line management responsibilities for both office and regionally based staff.

Karen has been with Trident since 2001, initially as a Clinical Research Consultant before taking on the role of Project Manager, Clinical Team Leader and in the last two years, Clinical Operations Manager. She has extensive experience in clinical team management and training. Karen has worked on trials from Phase I to Phase IV, across a broad range of therapeutic areas.

Karen has project managed a number of studies both locally and internationally.
