Privacy Statement
Trident Clinical Research Pty Ltd (TCR) will, during the course of our business operations, collect, use or communicate Personal Information only in accordance with the Privacy Act.
Whether the information we collect or view is as a result of a client request or as an independent business requirement of TCR, we will uphold the relevant principles of the Privacy Act.
We recognise the importance of personal privacy and are aware that the nature of our work dictates that we have a responsibility with respect to privacy issues.
TCR staff may be required to collect Personal Information about health professionals or prospective employees seeking to work in our company. Information we may hold typically includes names, addresses, business contact details, professional details, medical speciality or interests of a person and professional membership associations and previous work history.
Any information collected will be stored securely and access will be allowed only to those authorised and agreed by the person providing the information.
Information will only be used for the purpose agreed by the person providing the information and that person may request access to those details by written request to the address below. TCR will delete from its records personal information no longer required.
TCR will not collect other Sensitive Information from health professionals without consent. Sensitive Information includes an opinion or information about a person’s political, religious or professional affiliations or opinions, race, sexual preferences or Health Information from which they may be identified.
TCR will only collect Personal Information and view or collect Sensitive Information that is necessary for us to execute our normal business activities. Any information sought will only be relevant to the immediate task or a directly related secondary task which would be reasonably anticipated by the person from whom the information was received.
By necessity, TCR view and collect Sensitive Information about trial subjects during the course of our work as Clinical Research Consultants.
Where trial subject data are to be viewed, TCR personnel will ensure relevant consent has been obtained.
